Printing Photos on Canvas

All these photos, some of them have to be wall-worthy, right? Time to show off those bad boys and maybe even put a few up for sale. My choice of medium has always been canvas. I like the frameless look and another good trait is that it doesn’t reflect light. All the photos hanging in my house are on canvas.

My printer of choice is Easy Canvas Prints (no affiliation). They were the first one I used and their customer service is top notch if there are any issues with your prints. I have not tried anyone else so I cannot give other suggestions. You can always find coupons out there and their pricing, I feel, is fair (plus they send out newsletters with discounts if you sign up). I mainly order 24” x 36” prints to hang on my walls. I have a few smaller sizes but 24” x 36” is my go to size.

The process is super simple: Go to their website, pick a size, upload your photos, choose your options, and checkout. For me being in New York City, my ship times were 1 - 1.5 weeks. I did have some issues with a few prints like small marks or misprinting on corners and customer service was always quick to react. I would send in photos of the damage and they would ship me new prints without requiring me to send back the damaged goods.

When uploading your photos, make absolutely sure it is the highest quality available especially if you are printing large sizes. This will ensure you have the best print possible. Some people will upload load decent quality photos, which may look good on their phone, but will not translate to a high quality print.

When you’re ready to print, shop around. See what service is best for your needs and be sure to read reviews on the web. Like I mentioned, I went with Easy Canvas Prints as my first printer and stayed with them due to the experience. Adorama has their own print service but I have no experience with it.
